Nothing happens when I tap the floating button

Open Settings › Accessibility › Touch › AssistiveTouch, turn it on, tap Single-Tap and choose Hanzi at the very bottom of the list. Or open Hanzi › Settings › Floating button to run the guided test.

iOS keeps asking for permission

Tap Always Allow. If you tapped Don't Allow, open the Shortcuts app › Hanzi › ⓘ › Privacy › Reset Privacy, then tap the button again.

It says "Basic mode"

Chinese isn't downloaded for Apple's on-device translator yet. In Hanzi › Settings tap Download next to Chinese, or open Settings › Apps › Translate › Downloaded Languages.

Subscriptions

Hanzi Pro is billed by Apple. To cancel or change your plan: Settings › your name › Subscriptions. To restore a purchase on a new iPhone: Hanzi › Settings › Restore Purchases.
