Privacy Policy

Lull is built on one promise: your journal is yours alone.

Your journal: we collect nothing

• Your journal entries and moods are stored only on your device, in a private local database.
• We cannot read your entries. They never leave your phone.
• We do not collect your content, identifiers, location, or contacts.
• We do not use advertising SDKs and we do not track you across apps or websites.
• We never sell or share your personal data.

The one thing that leaves your device: purchases

If you subscribe to Lull+, we use RevenueCat (a third-party subscription service) to verify and manage your subscription. To do this, purchase data — your transaction/receipt and an anonymous, app-generated ID — is sent to RevenueCat's and Apple's servers. It is used only to:

• confirm whether your Lull+ subscription is active (App Functionality), and
• understand subscription totals in aggregate (Analytics).

This purchase data is not linked to your identity (we use anonymous IDs — no name, email, or login) and is not used to track you. This matches our App Store privacy label: Purchase History — App Functionality & Analytics, not linked to you, not used for tracking.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how Lull is used and to fix problems, we collect anonymous, non-identifying usage events via PostHog — for example, that the app was opened, that an entry was saved (never what you wrote or how you felt), that the paywall was shown, or that a purchase completed. These events are tied to a random on-device ID (no name, email, or login), are not used to track you across other apps or websites, and never include your journal text or mood content. Notifications

If you turn on a daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device by iOS. No reminder data is sent to us or anyone else.

Data deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in full control. Deleting an entry removes it immediately. Deleting the app removes all of your data permanently.

Children

Lull is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date.
